Bab-ul-Ilm society formed by a group of young working professionals with a mission to provide a common structure and framework to meet the religious, cultural needs of the Shia community residing in Ireland. The society will harness talents and resources available in member communities for the greater good of global humanity and our communities
The aim of Bab-ul-Ilm society is
1. To establish a centre for the community
2. To carry out the education religious activities of the Shia Sect.
3. To perform religious ceremonies on the occasion of births, marriage, death, divorce and such smiliar occasions
4. To provide direct financial assistance to relieve the poor members.
5. To endeavour to assemble and procure all writings in the English Language about the Shia Sect.
6. To establish information and research centre and centres devoted to the study and dissemination of Muslim Shia Ithna Ashari thought.
7. Establishing and supporting the establishment of a charitable institution including schools for the members.
8. Providing residential accommodation for the students and religious scholar and preacher or scholars and preachers engaged in carrying out the purpose of the Society.
9. Publishing and promoting or supplying the publication and distribution of books, journals periodicals magazines newspapers and other literature and providing facilities for a library and reading room or libraries and reading rooms
